As emotions die down, Leach may become seen as the pirate captain who keel-hauled others, until he was given the black spot and made to walk the plank. The above commentary addresses the question of whether there should be coaches who run their ships like pirate captings.

I wanna get all the facts first, before I stick to my judgment on this. The players' opinions of the incident, and Leach, have to have some bearing on the situation. Based on what I have heard so far, I am not sure if this merited a firing; but I concede that I don't know all the facts yet.

There is a "good ol' boy" environment at Texas Tech. Mike Leach is not a good ol' boy. He was a straight shooter, who always said what was on his mind. Now, I don't agree with everything Mike says; but at least you knew where he stood on things. Could this have had something to do with this situation? Hard to tell at this point. We will have to wait and see.

To be fair, we need to get the whole story before we just jump to conclusions on this.

Why is Mike Leach's attorney subpoenaing emails between Coach Tuberville and Frenship high school. Why would Tuberville have been emailing FHS?

Is Liggett pursuing a theory that a faction at TTU had contacted Tubberville before the Leach firing and made preparations for hiring T before burning their bridges and firing L? Which would mean basically that the public was lied to. Is this fishing or was there a tip?

Not sure, FHS has filed a protective order so they won't have to give up he emails. I'm wondering what the date of these emails are? That would tell us a lot

I'm Claiming Victory in advance for seeing the past within the future on this boondogle.
I recall posting about this as soon as I heard Tubby was in the running & this evidenced & supported by the Material fact that Tubby was laying out from coaching last season thus , He was Definitely waiting for Leach to be fired.

The proof is in my next "not so far fetched" conspiracy rant.
Dam right Tubby was talking to FISD Long before we even knew Leach was on the Chopping block.
If Leache's investigative team hasn't already , they need to start checking the County housing abstracts in FISD & sepenoea certian suspect Realtor Co's to further ascertain the time frame of when Tubby was actually Hired . 5 will get you `10 , that Tubby has been on an " Illegal by state law " $$$$ retainer most likely , even before Leach signed his last Ill fated ,"to be breached" contract.
What Meyers & Hance , Sowell & whatshis name { Tech President ?? ] oh yes ! , "Bailey" haven't told & may have to be Waterboarded to reveal is " Leach Was Not Expected to Sign the Last contract". thus the Tubby stand down for a season.

Tuberville's house is bigger than Daddy Knight's and a good mile or mile and a half closer to my place. I could see Knight through my scope, but I can almost shake hands with Tuberville.
