Ana's Mexican restaurant is really good(it might be spelled Anna's). The produce is always really fresh and everything tastes wonderful and homemade. It is in the same strip as Orlando's restaurant on Indiana and the loop-on the opposite side of the strip.
This location also used to be a Japanese restaurant, a Lujan's and Taco Village.

I also really like the Gourmet pizza's at Market Street.

Thai Thai on 50th is awesome-the mango/rice dessert is wonderful and the soups are really good.

Papa Murphy's has a selection of really good bake at home pizzas. We'll never do Pizza Hut again.

The Hub City Burger House on 29th Drive across from the old Putt Putt is soooooooo good. They have the best hamburgers and home cut fries. The owner is very nice. The burgers are huge and a whole order of fries feeds two.

I was out west 19th the other day with a fellow lookin to buy an old field truck...there's an old funky BBQ joint next door to a car lot ,,I think it's named Brooks BBQ...well, the old fella that runs it is cool enuff, but the dining room , well,..it's a lil ruff around the edges,,,but the BBQ sandwich and sauce, well, they are excellent, and I'd recommend them to anyone...

tried Gators Bayou on 98th and Slide. I got the chicken gumbo. The taste was almost just right-but there wasn't one piece of chicken in it. Mines better.
Wish we could have a pappadeaux in Lubbock.

I changed the name of this thread to restaurant reviews

Has anyone besides me noticed that the Red Lobster in Lubbock is not that great compared to other Red Lobsters? If anyone works there or knows someone that does, I hope not to offend you, but I have never had a good experience at the Red Lobster in Lubbock, although I have good experiences at other Red Lobsters.
The same goes for Texas Land and Cattle-I have never had a good meal at the one in Lubbock-but then again I've never tried Texas Land and Cattle anywhere else so I don't really have anything to compare it to.

CT,
I feel the same way about the Outback, though we've only tried it a couple of times because the food is not worth the money. Our first Outback trip was in Corpus and I had some prime rib that could be cut with a fork. The one up here was mostly gristle. There are enough good places to go to waste time on food.

Abuelos...is it really that great? IT is no doubt the busiest restaurant at any given time in Lubbock lunch or dinner, but to me the food is just so so. was actually a waitress at Abuelo's when it first opened in Lubbock-didn't like the food then, and can't really say I do now-went there for dinner tonite and had something off the seafood menu-eh...
but my dates were wonderful. :)
